89 S10 4.3 Stalling After Running Awile

Previous owner said vehicle would run fine but after stopping and shutting off vehicle it would not start. This did not happen all the time. He replaced to fuel pump and filter but this did not solve the problem. The truck sat for two years before I got it for free. I replaced the spark plugs, wires, distributor, and cap. Installed a new starter (old one would not crank engine) and new battery. Emptied the gas tank but new gas in and pumped the line out all the way to the TBI. Truck started and ran for about 45min sitting drove it for about 15min and no problem. Sut if off and started it with no problem. A couple days latter I started it and it ran for about 30min and just shut off. It would not start even with starter fluid. Had the ignition module tested, it is ok. The next day the truck started right up and had a very nice idle. What can I look for to solve this problem? The motor is a 4.3L TBI with A/C. The vehicle is a 1989 S10 Ext Cab Pickup. I am running out of ideas. One other thing the temp gauge has no reading. Both times the truck ran for awhile the temp never went up even though the hoses were hot. Could this be a choke problem?

Installed two new fuel pump relays and checked the EGR valve (looked new) truck will start up and run rough idle low and high. Checked all bolts on TBI and intake manifold. When it stalls it starts right back up now but stalls when it is cold. Could the injectors be blocked?

I also had this problem and it turned out to be the sillanoid on the starter. it would sometimes get hot and would not work. let it cool off and it would work fine. But I have an 89 S10 single cab with the 4.3
