4L80E 4L85E transmission pan for '03-'06 all models

Looking for a new transmission pan for a 4L80E or 4L85E late model (2005) application, 4x4.

 

There is an angled heat shield between the stock pan and the factory dual exhaust pipes that pass between the transmission and the passenger frame rail.

 

An all day search on google, as well as telephone calls to the transmissioncenter.net, the patc, maghytec, and PML have come up very short on answers that directly address this heat shield and these exhaust pipes.

 

A search of gm-trucks.com finds that only Mr. Quadrasteer (Eric... who mysteriously disappeared last year) has personally tried the PML late model pan, and had to remove his heat shield, and then subsequently wrap his exhaust due to the clearance problem with this pan.

 

I'm looking either for a known good part number to factory steel pan that is just as deep as my stock pan with a factory drain bolt and magnet set up, or, ideally, a cast aluminum deep finned structural transmission pan with a drain bolt and built in features to support the deep sump filter screen (if necessary).

 

Judging by the pictures, neither the BM trans pan, nor the three models of PML pans, nor the Mag Hytech pan, will fit the 2003 thru 2006 4L80E/4L85E (MT1/MN8) applications due to the need for a tapered SIDEWALL of the trans pan in the area of the aforementioned exhaust pipes.

 

Has anyone else found anything different?

 

Is there a trans pan out there that will work with the factory exhaust and exhaust shields untampered?

 

(Altering the exhaust is not an option for me.)

 

What are the alternative factory OEM steel pans?
