i have a 2000 1500 ext. cab 4 door, this truck has a 4 inch fab tech lift on 35/12.5 r17. i need to know how i can get better gas mileage im using mobil 1 synthetic oil, i have a K&N air intake, and flowmaster exhaust system, i dont accelerate over 2,000 rpms. so if anyone can help me with that it would be great, i also would like to know if there is anywhere i can put a steering stabilizer because there is no setup for it, i took it to a shop and they said they dont make one for a fab tech lift which doesnt make sence so if someone can gimme a hand with those 2 problems it would be great thx....

With your lift there isn't much you really can do for gas mileage. One question though, what gears are you running? You might be over-working your engine and taller gears might help you some, or at least make your engine work less hard. A tune might also help you out.

As for your steering stabilizer, you MAY have to find a shop that can get creative and do some welding/fabricating for you.

A tonneau cover might help. Stock size wheels/tires will help, so will removing the lift.

A custom, performance ECM tune should help a little, getting rid of the lift and the 35's will help a whole lot more. If you want to keep the lift and the big tires, a gear change would help as well.
