Gas gauge acting up

I hope someone has seen this problem before. I have a 96 chevy k1500 with the vortec 350. It has about 133000 miles on it and I've never had a problem with the fuel gauge until now. 2 fill ups ago I noticed the needle went a lot further past full than it ever has. Also, I put about 150 miles on it before the needle got to the full mark. I filled the tank at 270 miles and the needle was barely below 1/2 tank. Usually it's almost on empty. Put in 17 gallons and again the needle pegged way past full. The way it's reading I'll run out of gas before the needle even makes it to the 1/4 tank mark.

I sure hope someone knows whats wrong and even more hope I don't have to take the tank out again. That was a real pain when I replaced the fuel pump. Thanks

The fuel gauge on my '99 GMC has been acting squirrely for several years now, and never reads right. I just go by the trip meter now. I used to think that I'd be stuck with it like that, but after reading a few posts here about the subject, I think I might tackle it. Apparently the sending unit gets screwed up with the sulfur in current fuel sources, and needs replacing. Changing it doesn't seem like that hard of a job, but I thought I was facing a $900 bill to replace the fuel pump and sending unit together, so I was waiting until the pump gave out. Now I might deal with it soon, after a few critical things get done around the house.

On top of my gas gauge acting up, now out of nowhere my voltage gauge and oil pressure guage are also acting up. Both are reading high. My volt gauge sits just above 14 and the oil pressure gauge shows 40+ when idling and goes up to 60 when cruising. Any ideas?
