 I would like to know exactly what does the throttle position sensor does, and how would my truck run if it is going bad?

Ant information would help.. Thanks.

The tps tells the computer where the throttle plate is in relation to its opening. Tps sensors dont commonly go bad. Over a period of time they can develop a flat spot as they act just like a potentiometer. They vary resistance as they move. Based on this resistance the computer knows where the throttle is at.
