4.8l 2004 4l60e pan removal

Ok. Tried to do a tranny filter on my 04 silverado. Has a 4l60 with a deep pan. Could not get the pan down from the truck. Got most of the fluid out.

 

Got fustrated and needed truck running so i was able to get filter changed and just put pan back up without cleaning.

 

Any sugesstions. Seen about removing the shifter bracket.

ive done this about 5 times on my 02 silverado. get a torx socket and from the top side take out the bolts that hold the bracket for the shift linkage and move out of the way.
