Lift it, just AT tires, or stock.

Hey guys, I got an 03' 2500HD 6.0 4x4 with 4.10 gears. I own 300 acres about 5 hours away, which is mostly what my truck is for. I also have a couple friends with 4x4 "parks" in their backyards about 2 hours away. I get muddy probably once every 2 months or so. My question is, I just got a hold of this truck and its a crew cab long bed. I understand the limits of a truck that big, but would I be stupid for putting a 4" lift with 33's under it? I dont want to do anything crazy with it, just be able to get around on my farm, get up on some of the bigger trails to check for falling trees for the 4 wheelers etc. and to get my friends unstuck on thier property when I go. Im about 50/50 on weither or not it is worth doing.. ya know cost+MPG decrease vs the added piece of mind when off the pavement. I think the truck is high enough for what I am going to use it for, maybe if I just put a good set of tires under it? I dont know, what do you all think? Just toss on some good ATs or a small suspension lift?

You should be able to fit 33s with no lift and minimal trimming (on stock wheels anyways). Don't see why it would be a problem, my uncle has a 6" lift on a Crew cab long bed F-350 Diesel, with 18" wheels and 38" tires.
