2002 Yukon 5.3L / Cold engine start noise!

First start of the day, engine sounds like it needs a valve-job! Lifters or something make noise for about the first 30sec. Almost sounds like a diesel engine starting!

 

Not sure if this is the same as others are experiencing in posts of engine noises?

 

Got any idea's?

You could have piston slap and if so, there is nothing you can do about it. If it is your lifters, you can change your oil, leave out 1 qt and replace it with a qt of Rislone. If it is a lifter issue, it will likely cure it within 500 miles. It is a great product for lifters but it will not help piston slap.
