fuel pump and lean p0174

today i went to the gmc dealer to have my van looked at and they told me that the p0174 lean code is because my fuel pump is pumping a low volume but the pressure is correct !!!!Is the possible? My van is sending alot of unburned gas through the converters and blew them both !!!! If my engine has an issue with to much gas be sent through how could a fuel pump that is pumping a low volume of gas make any sense ??? That seems to be the oppisite !!!! Also they said that my sensor is not heating up fast enough. Does the sound correct or am i being charged for things that i dont need. Total price for a new fuel pump, 02 sensor, fuel filter and injector cleaning $1800.00 For a p0174 system lean bank 2 code.

Well if your sensor is not heating up fast enough, it will cause the computer to ask for more fuel. It seems like you would have a rich condition rather than a lean one. So the o2 sensor is probably bad. It sounds like you need the parts that they say you need. Which sensor are they saying is the bad one? (before or after cat?)
