Tailgate Easylift

I just installed a "Tailgate EasyLift" on my tailgate. Wow, is this thing ever slick! You can close the gate with two fingers.

 

Just a simple torsion spring that's easily installed after drilling a couple of hoes, one in the corner post and one in the middle of the gate. Wish I had invented it!

 

Has anyone else intalled one of these neat gadgets?

I put one on my `05. Really was simple. Tailgate lifts with only minimal effort!! In a way, in also helps slow down someone who is trying to steal the tailgate.

The new trucks are coming with the easylift tailgate. Not that the older ones were hard to close but it makes life easier.

this is what i bought... when i first got my truck. Very easy to install, and works great so all u do is open tailgate handle and the hydraulic does the work for u!

actually nothing to drill. Took all of about 10 min.
