Hour Meter Malfunction

I've had probably a half dozen gauge clusters installed in my 04 Silverado, they seem to read the correct amount of hours for a few days, but then they go back to zero. It'll climb up to about 120 hours then it resets back to zero. I've got almost 99,000 miles on my truck and only put on 52 hours....that means I've been traveling at 1900 miles per hour! No wonder I'm always replacing my tires.

 

Is it my truck or is there a run on bad clusters out there. The correct hours are stored in the BCM, but they just all won't show up in the hour meter.

 

Has anyone else out there had this problem?
