Swapping Tire Pressure Sensors

My 07 NBS has the plain chrome 17" wheels - I'd like to purchase a set of these (off a 07 z71):

But most of the used ones I've seen on e-bay don't come with tire pressure sensors (I'm assuming the person who took them off of their truck put them on their new wheels). My question is would it be possible to take the TPS off my stock 17" wheels and put them on these? If so, is it hard to do?

Thanks for any info.

yes. easy just remember to keep the sensors at the same tire location. Keep the rf on the rf ect... Just be careful not to damage them when you installing them. If you get them mixed up you will have to reprogram again or when your tire goes flat the DIC will tell you the one it thinks is flat but if they got mixed up it will be the wrong one. But it's not that bad at least you will know one of your tires are flat or going flat.

I just purchased a 2007 Silverado LTZ crew cab 2WD with the 6.0L motor. It came with the cast aluminum Z71 17" wheels (for sale) and I found a set of the 20" LTZ wheels/tires. I have confirmed with GM that the same sensors are used with the 17", 18" and 20" cast aluminum GM wheels. Those 18" wheels you've selected are nice looking wheels!

Go to your friendly dealership and have them look up the sensors for the steel wheels and see if they're the same as the cast aluminum wheels...that's what I did.

DISCOUNT TIRE just did mine for $60 with the re-balance. They do have to break down all eight tires/wheels as the sensors are ackwardly mounted and cannot be easily accessed by just breaking the bead.

I marked each of the 17" wheels so the sensors would be placed in them same position. However, DISCOUNT TIRE routinely does the re-learn procedure for customers when they rotate the tires so it's not really an issue.
