Does anyone have any idea when the 2008 GMC model year will be first available for sale at the dealer lots?

 

I'm really interested in purchasing a 2008 GMC Sierra Denali.

I'd like to know when as well - for Canada. It seems that GM is "built out" on trucksvans for the 2007 model year (to the dealer's surprise). I have to find one on a lot or wait for '08.

When I ordered my 07, the dealer told me that the cutoff for 07 model orders was April 23. After that, they couldn't take orders for 08 models until June with delivery in August. I assume 08 models will be on the lots in the August/September timeframe based on his info.

I just found out yesterday that my order for an 07 Sierra Denali couldn't be filled. As said befor much to my dealers suprise. So I'll be ordering an 08 as soon as I can.

I think it's in June. Prob mid? I'd like to know if there are any differences too.

Those time may be off by a week or so. All of General Motors shuts down for the first 2 weeks in july. Happens every year so they can do major repairs and cleanup. Nothing runs at all.

Just noticed on the "On Line Order Guide" for the 1500 Sierra that it is for the 2008 Model Year. Also noticed they have two new exterior colors - Dark Crimson Metallic & Sonoma Red Metallic.
