Instrumentation Lighting Is Out

Another thing to nickel and dime me to death, my instrument lighting went out today on my 1996 K1500. I checked and it is NOT the fuse. When I turn on the head or parking lights on the shift indicator dims, but no back lighting comes on... What could be the problem?

Mike, Please don't take this the wrong way, but did you make sure the dimmer switch was turned up? Is it just the instrument lights in the cluster or all of the dash lights (radio, AC Panel, door lock and window switches, etc.)?

Thanks... wow I feel stupid. When you said that I realized the other day I was sitting in the passenger seat with the door open and went to go turn off the interior lights and I must have hit the dimmer by accident.
