Interior Lights And Door Sensors

Ok, I have an NBS 99 GMC x-cab, and it doesn't seem to know when the passenger door is open-it won't keep the interior lights on and it won't set off the alarm if the door is opened like it will on the drivers side. And before you say it, its not the dome override switch thats causing it. Does anyone elses truck do this? What tells the truck that the doors are open? As far as I can tell there is no switch, but it knows when the drivers door is open but not the passengers :driving:

Agree with above post.

Take off the pass. door panel. Remove the inside door latch. Make sure you clean all the old grease and crud off it. Then re-spray the mechanisms with fresh wd-40, then install it back in the door.

Speaking of Fords, I've also fixed many Ford door latches that have this SAME exact problem. WD-40 is your friend.
