Soft Tonneau Cover Options

Looking at soft tonneau covers for my new Sierra Crew Cab. I had a snap roll-up cover on my previous '97 Chevy which weathered well, but I know I don't want snaps again especially in winter. I was surprised how many options there are out there now. I'm mainly looking at the lund genesis tri-fold and extang tri-fecta in folding covers and the lund genesis hinged and extang full tilt in removable covers.

I'm leaning toward the folding covers at this point since they completely remove, though I have some concern of lack of bed space with cover open. I guess I can completely remove cover and put along side whatever big item I'm carrying.

Anyone have any opinions on which type and brand are better?

I had an Access roll-up on my 2000 I put on when it was new. It is still like new today (my brother now owns it). When buying my 07, I insisted on Access brand from my dealer, I would accept NO substitutes. Best roll-up out there, hands down. It rolls up in about 30 seconds and gives FULL exposure to the bed (less about 2 inches near the top of the rail where the support rail clamps on). It then takes about 30 sec to unroll and secure in place. This cover is as tight as a drum and stays that way...for years!!! Keep in mind I do not roll/unroll mine daily, more like once or twice a month in winter and weekly in the summertime. I also treat it with vinyl protectant twice a year.

I have an Extang Trifecta on my NBS. I really like it, looks good and it is solid! Extremely easy to remove or fold. My only problem with it is my truck has the large tailgate cap, so it makes it difficult for the cover to seal on the 2 back corners. I have had 2 weeks of rain here and the bed is still dry, so it may be a mute point.
