Aux Tank Install Help

I bought a aux fuel tank and mounted it in the bed, I tried to plumb it into the filler neck on my 01 2500hd 8.1 and when I went to remove the filler neck the seems to be a plastic liner inside the neck/rubber hose. I need to weld a threaded bung to the filler neck but there is the plastic liner. what shoud I do? How are others plumbing in there aux tanks. Thank you.

Might want to check your state laws on doing this.

Most states (from what I've read) don't allow a bed mounted tank to fill directly into the vehicles main tank. Or something to that effect.
