Another AV

This one's in Sunset Orange. We also considered Indigo Blue, and Forrest Green. But this one had the options I really wanted. Z71, 4.10 gear, and premium leather seats in the graphite interior.

Kind of hard to pick a lot of options, they come pretty loaded as standard. I'll probably do some modifications after the newness wears off (and my wife calms down). Seriously, she thinks it's great. I guess we were the target buyers, she wanted an SUV and I wanted a truck.

Just finished breaking it in, and so far have not found a single defect. Yesterday I thought I found one. One of the rear seating heater vents had no air coming out. After I had the center console half torn apart, I realized I had been turning the vent the wrong way to open!

I found this forum while researching the avalanche. I've already picked up some good information. :blush:

sweet looking avalanche. They are awesome trucks/suv's and that sunset orange is just a sweet color, not many out there like it.

One thing I've noticed is that the pictures never do justice to that color. Looks even better in person. I just want to know why GM decided to stop offering it on the Silverado....

Thanks for all the welcomes. I've been lurking as a guest for a couple of weeks, and liked the feel of this forum, so I thought I'd join.

Yeah, the Avalanche is a step up for us. Kind of a dream come true as I watched my old truck starting to fall apart from old age. The dealer may have got a little more out of me than I wanted to pay, but then I might have got a little more out of the trade-in than he would of liked.

I got a little excited the other morning when my wife told me there was frost outside. Won't be long before I can try the new rig in the snow. I was pretty bummed though when I found out through this forum that I would miss the Ski Chevy incentive program. Could have really used those ski passes.
