Well I finally got to meet with the Regional manager for GM today. After taking a test drive with me as well inspecting the truck with the service manager as well as the salesman. It was agreed that they will just buy the truck back instead of trying to fix all the problems some of witch they dont know how to fix. It has 8700 miles on it so I have to pay them for part of the milage that I put on it so they are charging me for 4500 miles at .30 cents per mile it will take them about 15 days to get the paper work done and to get my new truck in they told me just contenue to use my truck and I will not be charged for any additional milage it is froze at 4500 .

They are also agreeing to buy from me all the accesorys that I have installed on the truck that wont fit on my new truck. It took alot of phone calls and trips to different dealers as well as getting really pissed but in the end they stood behind there product so even thou the truck was a piece of s**t and they agreed at least they are trying to make it right and keep a long time customer happy I just hope I have better luck with the next one

Sucks that you had the issues but I think it's great that GM is doing the right thing. You are actually the first person I heard of that got a "bad one". What kind of issues were you having with it?

I had an '06 CC bought back by GM last year. Persistence pays off. You will be much happier not having to live with the problems. Congratulations!

well mostly what I was not happy with is the paint on the front bumper was coming off , tyhe brakes had been repaired 3 times and where still squeaking, the governer was screwed up some times it would do only 80 sometimes 85 once it 88 but that was tops , The torque management was totaly screwed up somtimes it was fine other times you step on it and the truck would just fall on its face the moter would rev but the thing would not put the power to the wheels the center post sounded like water falls when it rains and the hood rattled even after being ajusted 4 times the air keeps turning off by its self and the defrost vent would not close all the way so it always whisled even after being repair 2 times and the motor had a loud tick in the morning as well as a bearing freezing upon the water pump I think

That's not bad my dad's grand caravan had way more things go out/bad on it than that and they just kept fixing it... Unfortunately, the lemon laws in MN are quite strict.

BUT, making you pay for mileage...that is bulls**t! I could see it if maybe they stepped up to the plate right away & agreed to do this but it seems to me they waited trying to put you off. You had no choice but to drive it...they would have to take the mileage charge & stick it up their ass along with the truck! :)

It's all negotiable though.

One person in the forums a while back got the mileage penalty taken out when they bought his truck back. Me, I lost some money on my tonneau cover and a line-x liner, but kept my POS truck they agreed to buy back for almost 6 months with no further mileage penalty other then what we agreed on!!

First off if the GMT's900 were that bad I would not be replacing it with the same truck as far as the guys at toyotanation bad mouthing GM trailer park people act like that and thats what most toyo owners are as far as my kid being over there hes in Irag right now so I doubt that he has the time besides he has my old truck an 02 silverado sitting in the garage waiting for his return home

Here is his first post on the subject, followed by many others that get worse:

hate to throw fuel on a fire but, 07 GMC and Chevy trucks are HOT garbage!

My Dad bought an 07 silverado with a 5.3 flexfuel ready with displacement on demand hes had it for about 5 months, after getting the district rep involved it is now gonna be bought back by chevy,

the vehicle shuts off at 85 - 90 miles an hour!

if you have a paint to match front bumper get it covered with a clear protector otherwise itll be down to primer by the time you hit 10,000 miles, and no, chevy's wonderful warranty doesnt cover it.

new GM trucks are equipped with a torque management system which wont allow you to spin the tires with half a foot of snow and ice on the ground.

wanna line-x your bed? well chevy will void your warranty!

Extended cab? expect excessive noise from your door jams when driving in rain!

and before you jump to conclusions, i grew up in a chevy family thats all they have owned and i love my 02 silverado, and my pops 07 rides like a dream, but if your gonna pay upwards of $40,000 on a truck it dam well better preform like a $40,000 machine!

And most importantly if you really think your truck is that much better than a yota, do all of us a favor and keep it to yourself, cause i don't know about everyone else but quite frankly i could give a dam less about your overpriced hunk of domestic HOT garbage! let us know when you trade that thing in for a tundra then ill prolly care about what you have to say. . .

have a great day!
