Corsa Rattling

The expansion joint near the flange is rattling (the part that is covered in the stainless netting), anyone else ever had this happen to them? It only does this when the truck is warmed up.

 

Any ideas? All connection are tight and torqued down.

Did you contact CORSA? They have a lifetime warranty...

also, it only does it at about 750-1000 rpm in gear. I really hear it when I am pulling the truck into the garage....

I've not had that issue with mine. After the initial installation, and things got good and warmed up, I retorqued all the connections the next morning. The head pipe connection did require a retorque. The installation instructions tell you to retorque in this manner. Did you do that? It's got to be cold when you do the retorque, not hot.

yea, Corsa had me even loosen the flange and the inlet makeing sure the headpipe was installed all the way into to muffler. I torqued the flange @ 30 and the Torca clamps 45. Corsa told me that they use the same joint that GM uses so I should have not had a problem. If I tap the system with a rubber hammer you can here it rattle, I am hopping this will go away when I replace it this week.

I have no idea. I am wondering if when the system heats up, it pulls the steel netting tight and it is hitting the flex tube inside. I am not looking forword to pulling the pipe out of the inlet of the muffler after it has been crimped with the clamps.
