Hi all,

 

I got a code P1416, Secondary AIR injection bank 2 last year, I replaced the passenger side valve and all was fine until this week. I have the code again. I checked all of the hoses, no crack in the tube going to the exhaust that I can see. I did use the same gasket to rebolt the tube to the exhaust. The pump kicks on after start and runs about 30 seconds or less.

 

Should there be anything else to check? I pondered the thought of replacing the other valve on the driver's side as it could be setting it off as well (even though it has it's own code).

The light turned off, obviously after 5 cold starts.

 

Anyone have an idea? I replaced the passenger side valve on the secondary air injection last year sometime. No cracks in hosing or anything, should I just replace it all or what? the pump seems to be working fine.

 

Not getting a code on the drivers side valve, could it be failed and passenger side tripping a code?
