Just wondering if anybody out there has any information about what exactly they do? There website doesn't explain really what they do to the computer to enhance the performance. From doing research everybody seems to be extremely happy with their mods afterwards. From what I understand, you have to pull your computer and wiring harness and send them in to him, am I on the right track here??

I have one with his "mileage tune" and I am extremely happy. I pull a 20' enclosed trailer and a 5th wheel RV with my truck, and the difference is night and day. More power and better mileage, what more can you ask for?

You can do it one of a few ways:

- You can pull your PCM and send it to Jesse, he will program it and send it back to you. This runs around $75.

- You can buy a core from him, he will program it and send it to you. You keep our original OEM PCM. This is what I did, my truck was not down except for the few minutes it took to swap them out. This is $159, and I still have the stock one.

- I think you can also get one buy paying for a core, having him send the newly programmed PCM, then you send your original one back to him and get your core charge refunded. Not 100% sure on this one, but I have heard this.

Its right behind the battery (kinda in between that and the fuse box). All it takes is a socket or a wrench (not sure of the size). Its got a plastic cover on it, but the actual PCM is a metal box about the size of a book with a wire plug bolted onto it. You'll know it when you see it.

Hmmm, well mines not behind the battery, it sits below it and to the inside, between the battery and the middle of the engine compartment. Remove the plastic cover, and remove the two connectors. There is a bolt in the center of each one, use a 7mm socket to remove them. Then there is a plastic tab and a spring metal clip that need to be popped of, and it'll fall into your hands. Takes about a minute or two to do.

Jesse tuned my '04 Tahoe and what a difference it made. No more wallowing on launch, higher shift points, quicker downshifts, better economy, an on and on and on. Jesse is located about 1.5 hours south of me in Indiana and I had him do the fine tuning right in the truck with his laptop.

I had him tune both my factory PCM and a spare one just in case the dealership flashed my original with a newer program. I did take it to a dealership for some warranty work and asked them specifically not to flash it. The technician said "you got one of the good running ones." They couldn't tell it had been modified.

I just bought an '07 Crew Cab Classic with a DMax and will be taking it to Jesse to work his magic on. He just did one for a friend of mine and what a blast it is to drive. He didn't increase the horsepower so much as he changed shift points and other things that make the truck feel very lively. Vern's truck is now running about 20 mpg at highway speed.

I didn't wait-4-anyone and bought a Diablo Preadator handheld. I am very pleased with it, I can change my program as many times as I want without sending my pcm to anyone. It also scans and clears trouble codes.

Wait4me also offers an SCT handheld programmer (see sig). Exact same tune you get with a PCM swap, but on a hand held unit - and it can store up to 3 custom tunes. Makes is very easy to go back to stock for dealer visits.

About how much was it, and can it correct for different tire sizes? Those are two of my biggest concerns since I am also considering going with a bigger tire.

Yep, since it has a custom tune on the hand held, it'll do whatever you would have done with a PCM swap (or whatever you ask Jesse to do to your tune). But because it is a custom tune, there are no options on the hand held itself to make changes to tire size, shift points, etc. You just pick 1 of 3 tunes, and away it goes.

It was $369 shipped. Free updates for the life of the vehicle (less shipping charges).

just got mine about a week ago and it was a breeze to put in. I got more of a towing tune and a balls to the wall tune when you hit the hot button(tow/haul). It runs great and I can deffinately tell the diference in gas mileage and the giddy up too. was well worth the $159. I had a hypertec in before i had this and this is way better than the hypertech handheld.

what kind of scan tool will do the crank relearn?? anybody know?
