Lower Valance Cover Color

I have a 04 silverado and i see the obs 07's have the black lower balance and mines grey. I was wondering if i would be able to put the black one on mine b/c i dont want to paint mine it b/c it will chip.

I know you don't want to paint it but.........I used that new kyrlon plastics on a extra air d**n I had and it looked good enough to put on my truck and it hasn't chipped. It had been almost 5 months now. But if you don't want to spray it, the 07 OBS air dam should fit.

My 02 suburban's are color matched, but I see the black ones especially on trucks and they look good.

I agree... It should be a straight up swap.

 

On the painted plastic stuff side of things: I've painted a lot of front plastic stuff on my trucks and if you use the proper adhesive promoters, primers, and flex agents it will stay on forever. Think about it. Every modern car has a plastic cover painted to match and the paint stays put. It probably wouldn't cost any more than buying a new black valance.

 

I say paint it to match and be happy! Plus you will get the glossy finish like your truck has.

Where do get a good paint that will stick and last for a dash ?
