Nice truck!!

cheap things i think you could do to make her look cool would be to, throw some light tint down on the windows, gill guard, nerf bars, taillight guards, smoke the tail/headlights, replace the chevy door molding with the sierra chrome, grill inserts, definately throw some HUGE foglights on her down in those open holes on the bumper she'd look great... the only free thing i can think of would be to debadge her...

hope this helps!! steve

The fastest but not cheepest way to make a truck look awsome would be some wheels and tires. You can get a of both for a thousand bucks. That deffinatly changes the look of the truck. Also do something with those plastic gaurds on the doors. Change or get rid of them. Other than that it's a nice clean looking truck. Good luck?

Man oh man I love Victory Red. The only problem with de-badgeing and taking the side moulding off will be the color differences under the trim. I have almost the exact same truck this is what I did- Painted the bow tie victort red and add some quick speed grilles top and bottom, took off the airdam and sprayed it black, added diamond plate rail/tail covers and a tonneau cover. You have a awsome looking truck now I can't believe 160,000+, I just passed 125,000+ Good Luck!

Almost forgot nice white lettered tires an a red truck look SWEET

You could de-badge it, IE take off the Silverado and Chevrolet emblems off the bed, or just take off one and leave the other. I thought about taking off Chevrolet and just leaving Silverado, but just took them both off. Also if you like to park out in the middle of no were in parking lots you can take off the rubber/plastic door trim. Look up how to paint your grill bowtie red or black. I've been wanting to actually, I need to look into that. Window Visors can look cool, plus you can leave your windows cracked when its raining. Just a few ideas

Here's am example. s**tty pic I know, should have straightend out the front wheels

The paint looks like it is in pretty good shape. Was it garage kept? If so, de-badging may be okay still and would definitely make a huge difference. Not to mention it is free.

A set of chrome door handles, some SilverStar Ultras or PIAA's for the headlights, a nice slash cut and rolled exhaust tip (maybe a MagnaFlow too?), and some window tint should change the looks quite a bit without breaking the bank. You might also consider a bed liner and blacking out (paint or undercoating) the fender wells in the rear. Color matching the bow tie would also look very sweet. A nice stubby antenna and chrome tow hooks would help set it off too. Oh, another freebie, you could also crank your torsion bars a couple of turns and remove some of the rake in the front end. Look around here and you'll find plenty of threads about this one.

Sorry, the ideas just kept coming.

Hope this helps you a little.

Daddy

EDIT: One more - Grill inserts. Definitely a cheap way to make your rig unique.

You could buy mudflaps. I just got a set with the chrome weight that has GMC cut out of the chorome. Paid $67.00 for four of them.

I don't know how this would look but when I had a ranger, I took some metal gutter guard, painted it red and put it behind the grille. (it looked good on that) In your case I wouldn't paint the meshm leave it as chrome.

I also agree with taking off the plastic moulding. I would do that and get the chrome rocker panels but I don't know how much those are.

i didnt click the links to see, but im gonna assume you still have the nosedive? crank the t-bars to level it out, looks tons better.

GM painted door handles. I like to leave the badges, otherwise the truck looks like some cheap video game that was too cheap to get the licensing from GM to make their cartoon an acurate rendering of the real truck. With red I would try to get rid of as much black plastic as I could, replacing it with red stuff. I'm not a fan of chrome on red, I think if you add a lot of chrome, then the wheels must be chrome too, none of that alloy, stuff.

Ditto. wait.......................not fan of red/chrome?!

i was thinkin about pullin off all the decals on mine and puttin the 07 decal that says silverado on the sides and 1 on the back ... thought that might look good

Thats a pretty nice lookin truck, especially considering it has 161,000 miles on it.

Mine looks close to the exact same... but mines a 99' with 86,000 on it.

Anyway I cant really help you with mods cause I dont have any yet, but I have been looking for a bull bar and some lights to put on it.

EDIT: I guess I did chop the stock muffler and put in a cherrybomb glasspack for about $50...but that dont do much for looks.

Kind of like that thing about not being able to wear a brown belt with black shoes. (So says my wife.) I don't like alloy wheels with chrome on the truck. If the truck is accented with chrome I like the wheels to be chrome too. Most trucks now come with alloys, so most times I don't like the chrome. Oddly enough I still have the alloy wheels on my truck. Perhaps when I strike some oil, I can get chrome wheels. Then I can do everything like the door handles, mirror caps all in chrome.

Decide what you like better: chrome/red or black/red and add accessories accordingly. IMO red can look nice with either color. Black accessories are definitely cheaper than chrome, but chrome usually has more options in places where black goes unnoticed (e.g. tow hooks, rocker panels). Vent Visors, bug guard, handle covers, grille inserts, and blackout lighting are pretty cheap.
