Whats The Difference?

4hi is more for say keeping traction or reducing tire slippage when your going through say..snowy or icy roads at not absolutly crawling speeds. 4 low would be used when you need some torque and you are going to be traveling slower, like when your up past your tires in mud :) , and 4 low on mostly all newer trucks can only be shifted into when your below a certain speed, for example you cant shift into 4 low when your going 60.
