99 Chevy Silverado Z71 Ext Cab Nerf Bars For A 99 Chevy Silverado Z71

Yeah I know I sound like an idiot but let me explain myself. So my friend wanted my to find him some nerf bars to replace the ones that he had on his truck. He had a 1999 Chevy silverado z71 ext cab. I found him some for like $40 in like new condition. For the price I really wanted them for my truck. Well I was in the process of getting them to him since I live in nc and he lives in Mich. During that process he totalled his truck.

 

So heres the poop his truck is 1999 New Body Style mine is the same thing but old body style 1999 Chevy silverado K1500 z71... Is there anyone that has made these work from new body style to old?>

Im sure you can make then fit, It doesnt look like they are interchangeable by looking at some major companys. You probably will have to cut, modify, or weld to make them work. Might as well just find some that work and ship those to me, just kidding.

Well...Maybe. I had the opposite problem.

 

I have a set of black Westin nerfs sitting in my storm shelter that came off of a truck of your body style. They lined up (length-wise) to my '02 Ex cab Z71 perfectly, but the mount heights were different.

 

So...With some minor fab work...Yeah...They'll go. But I don't think they'll bolt right on.

 

I'd offer to just sell you mine, but shipping would cost more than the bars themselves I'm sure.

Hey man where do you live? Cause my in laws have them in Michigan and I was going to go get themin December! haha I know thats a little ways off! I would trade even up! I even got the chrome bed bars too!
