Gauges?

Hello every body. Here's my problem. When i first start my truck somtimes the gauges in the dash are all reading zero and there is no lights for the odometer or the gear indicator. Then when I rev the truck up a bit they all come to life. The first time worried me b/c all i noticed was the oil pressure sitting at zero. For a second I thought i was changing a oil pump. (or worse) but then i noticed none of the other stuff was working and tapped the gas, and to my relife they came to life. Any ideas would be greatly apreciated. THNX
