OK,

I have a 5.7l vortec and 4l60e from what I was told is a 99 Yukon. I had a wiring harness made from www.lt1350.com .

I put it in my 51 GMC 1/2 ton. Wired everything up and the engine would fire and not start. I pulled all the plugs and only number 5 was black and looked like it had got fuel. The rest were dry and I did not smell any gas out of the exhaust.

I checked the fuel pressure and it is 63psi KOEO so I was told I should change my injectors because they get clogged.

SO I replaced the poppet style and went to MPFI setup that replaces it.

Now if I turn the key the engine fires and dies. Fires and dies.

Fuel pressure drops to about 55psi after the engine starts and before it dies. Using MSD inline fuel pump rated at 85psi max.

I have .45 volts at TPS

2.08 volts at ECT probably 95 out side

1.90 volts at IAT at same temp

I thought it might be crank sensor but if I unplug it and try to start I get a true NO START and not Start/stall.

I think it is some kinda theft system that was not removed from the VCM by the guy that made my harness.

I do not own a scantool but I might have to buy one.

Anybody have a cule?
