Horn Issues

here's the scoop: I installed a "bad boy" dual tone horn last weekend on the passenger side hookup. I left the factory single tone horn on the driver side still installed.

it sounded great for a week, got 3 nice tones out of it, sounding like a freight train. today i was bein a jackass with some friends and leaned on the horn for a good 5-8 second blast, and it cut out (without me releasing pressure on the horn).

now it won't work at all, neither the factory installed horn or the new bad boy i put in.

anybody have any ideas? :eek::D

Yep, fuse or relay. They draw a fair amount of power and you tripled the load on that wire.

Hey man,

Get this kit and you won't ever care about the whimpy OEM horn ever again. :cheers:

Mount them under the bed, pointing down (trust me) and the compressor/tank in the bed. I had my horns under the hood, but my wife said they made the floorboard vibrate against her feet! :eek:

Underneath and pointing at the ground makes for great sound reflection and reverberation.

Or.....you could re-wire your horns with heavier wire and relay. :D

I'm sure you can. Especially if it is a fuse. I'm not sure where the fuse box is in your truck (or mine for that matter). As for a relay I'm sure you can change thay too, I just wouldn't be able to do it.
