A bit more information would be good to have.

How many miles does the truck have?

Does the check engine light come on?

What's your temp gauge say when it happens?

What does your oil pressure guage say?

What does your battery guage say when it happens?

Have you checked your atf? Is it at the correct level? Does it smell burned?

What does the truk it feel like when it happens?

145000 miles, bought the truck, which had been sitting for about 6 months. installed new battery, cranked right up, sounds great, had the oil, filter, transmission fluid and filter changed. runs and trans shifts fine until it gets to 190 degrees then the trans goes back in 3rd gear and stays there. rpms go up about 1000. had auto zone check it but no codes, no check engine light. oil pressure is 40 at 60 miles hr, goes down to about 15 at idle. also installed a throttle sensor switch. no help????????????

Its a bit difficult since you've already had the tranny flushed. It would have been nice to know how much metal was on the magnet in the tranny pan when it was flushed. In general losing a gear or two as a tranny warms up is the typical behaviour of an automatic at the end of its life.

Did it have any problems before the trans was serviced

YES, DID THE SAME BEFORE FLUSHED. THE WAY THE TRANS ACTS WHEN COLD IS FINE AND GOES BACK TO 3RD WITH OUT ANY WARNING OR STRANGE BEHAVIOR, WHICH MAKES ME THINK IT IS GOING IN LIMP MODE. THANKS
