Nbs Factory Speakers

Is there a difference between the front and rear door speakers on these trucks (regular factory stereo, not Bose)?? It seems like the rear door speakers have a worse sound quality than the front set. Can anyone confirm this suspiscion. What id like to do is replace the front set with aftermarket, then re-locate the front set to the rear doors, thanks

I just picked up a 2007 GMC Crew Cab Sierra Pickup and I hear rattling in the back speakers... its actually the door panel the speakers actually rock if I put in a CD. I have looked at replacing the back speakers too ... P.S. I do NOT have bose...

If you intend to just do a speaker upgrade with no amp make sure the speaker is 4 ohms and not 2ohms.. the factory deck might have issues running a speaker that is too good with out and amp to drive it. If your looking to put the front speakers in the back your going to have to find a place to mount the tweeter. The font speakers are 6.5 component speakers which means the tweeter is on the front window frame.. the back speakers are 2 way meaning the tweeter is on top of the speaker cone..... If your looking to replace the back speakers I would recommend the kicker 2 ways you can find them at crutchfield or even cheaper on Amazon... Crutchfield is nice because they send you instructions to take off the door panel and all the converting hardward.

I would check your back door panel to see if that is not your problem first. pull on the panel near the window while playing a CD with the base turned up to see if its not a loose panel. I am planning on Dynamating my doors to hopefully fix my rattle problem.. may through the kicker 2ways in the back while I'm at it... hope this is helpful

I can't hear a difference between the front and back, but I've never been in the front. It might be staging because of the tweeters being in a different position in the front.

If you have rattling, I know ours was missing a retaining screw/fastener from the factory and I had to take it back to have it fixed. It vibrated when bass would hit.

My rear speakers sound like surround speakers, nothing like the front speakers, they sound kind of hollow. Is this the same with others? It is a non Bose system, in an EC GMC.
