Looking for opinions from anyone on Cooper Tires but mostly interested in the Discoverer STT if anyone is running them. Thinking of getting some 265 or 285's for on my 03.

i have 285 cooper st's. they have to be bigger than what they say cuz i had 305 xterrain's(loved those) anyway i have about 25k miles on my coopers and they dont even look like they have worn. i have been in the mud a few times and they did ok, not as good as the xterrains but good enough. they did pretty good in dune sand as well. they are alittle loud, but every mud tire i have has been, plus gm did you a favor and added this thing called a radio to combat this. they arent too bad but cheap, pretty good in mud, good in sand, and wear like iron. ive hope this helps even though they arent the stt's, but im satisfied.

Well, I had the regular ST's also and they were okay. They started to scallop pretty badly and hammered pretty loud going down the road so I ended up getting rid of them. Bear in mind that I ran 100 miles plus on them every weekday and a good chunk of that is interstate. I can't see how the STT's would be much different, but it is all what you are willing to put up with for some decent looks and offroad capability. I got to the point where the drone of those things gave me a headache. I must just be getting old.....lol

I have cooper discover a/t. Got over 50,000 miles on them, but it is time for new ones. The tire noise isn't too bad and they still have some tread left on them, but I want to replace them before the first snowfall. Looking with going with the discover atr this time around.

I have the Cooper A/T as well. 30,000 on them, rotated every 5-7K. I will be lucky to get another 7k out of them. I don't "abuse" them either. They were great in the snow the first year, last year needed the 4wd a lot more. I only paid $435 out the door, also wanted them because the are made in USA. I think next tires will be TOYO.
