Avalanche hood scoops

My buddy has a 2500 Avalanche and he put some "Lund" hood scoops on it.  I think it looks pretty darn good, and it lets everyone know what is lurking under the hood...

Those look awesome shane.  The decals are subtle, but if you look you know that a monster lurks under the hood.  Your friend did a great job on them.

I told him he needed to drill holes in his hood and rig up some way to make them functional.

There is an S-10 that is at a nearby lot, really nice, lowered, 16 or 17's, clear corners at the front I think, and it had those scoops(w/o the 8.1 stuff).  I thought it was the collest ram air hod I ever saw until I realized they weren't functional. I don't usually like aftermarket ram air stuff, but if they made a whole hood with scoops like that but functional  they'd have a look and performance winner.   I can't wait untill I get my 2" cowl and open element filter assembly.

Alas, they look cool, but my kingdom to get a set of real ones - i am negotiating with a local chop shop to do the following.
