Door Panel Removal

Trying to get my door panel off to see why my speaker quit...How do you get the trim piece off that houses the door lock and window switch? I can get the back part loose but the front seems tight and don't wanna break it. Don't think it matters but it's the passenger side.

There's no reason to remove that piece to get your door panel off. If I remember correctly, there's 2 screws you have to remove and then you just slide the panel up and out.

Does anyone know how to remove the inside Door Handle on a NBS?

I have taken the door panels off for a swap out of the outside door handles... followed the instructions from the following post to do that.

However, I am changing out my speakers this weekend and putting some sound deadening material on the door itself, but not sure how to disconnect the inside door handle from the wire so that I can remove the door panel completely. Would make the project go faster if I didn't have to work around a hanging door panel. I can disconnect the power windows and locks, but cannot seem to get the handle off the panel.

Thanks!

Looks like it is held in by two bolts:

By the way,

Tighten

2 N·m (18 lb in) on each of the bolts
