Anybody keeping up with the news??

 

University of Delaware has published- in its student handbook through the Office of Residential Life - a new definition of the term "racist," or at least one that has always been little more than a looming notion, but never articulated for fear of repercussion.

 

Directly quoted from the handbook:

 

A RACIST: A racist is one who is both privileged and socialized on the basis of race by a white supremacist (racist) system. The term applies to all white people (i.e.,people of European descent) living in the United States, regardless of class, gender, religion, culture or sexuality. By this definition, people of color cannot be racists, because as peoples within the U.S. system, they do not have th epower to back up their prejudices, hostilities or acts of discrimination. (This does not deny the existence of such prejudices, hostilities, acts of rage or discrimination.)

 

A NON-RACIST: a non-term. The term was created by whites to deny responsibility for systemic racism, to maintain an aura of innocence in the face of racial oppression, and to shift responsibility for that oppression from whites to people of color (called "blaming the victim"). Responsibility for perpetuating and legitimizing a racist system rests both on those who actively maintain it, and on those who refuse to challenge it. Silence is consent.

 

 

 

This is the most despicable thing I have seen in a little while. It is common knowledge that our universities are breeding grounds for short-sighted, self centered liberal nut jobs...but to actually print material like this is beyond disgrace. How are parents to believe their children are getting a well-rounded education in an environment that fosters free thinking and in-depth examination of the questions before us if THIS is what the students are being groomed to believe? Colleges no longer offer this paradise of higher education and intellectual exploration; colleges have simply become breeding facilities in which students are NOT allowed to think for themselves or ask any questions that differ from the liberal university's agenda to foster the socialization of the united states. The only "thinking" you are permitted to do is whatever the school approves of. Good luck trying to get that "anti-socialized medicine" article published in the school newspaper. Better not ever refer to global warming as "junk science." For if you do, you will be met with a dissent and hatred far greater than YOU ever exhibited for anyone else in your life...but the bleeding hearts like to have their cake and eat it too- they are a constant portrait of the meaning "double standard."

would you want your kids sitting through an interview process with ANOTHER KID - maybe a year or two older - where they were asked when they discovered their sexual identity, and when they discovered what race they were, and how?

Oh I hate universitys and the stupid hippies that go to em. My buddy was doing a control systems course at the local college a few months back, A diploma we need to be a weapons tech in the Canadian navy. So here he is standing in the corridor in his uniform when some chick comes over and starts to go nuts about how we have to get our troops out of Iraq...he lets her blab on for a min or two, than just says back to her..."stop watching CNN...Canada has no troops in Iraq" She looks at him all puzzled for a min, than says what do you mean...He's like, "Canada has troops in Afghanistan, not Iraq...and before you start in about how we should get them out of there you should maybe see what we're doing over there, protecting the innocent and helping to build schools, hospitals etc".

 

It just goes to prove that young impressionable people will spew out whatever the idiot box is saying at the time. They see a rally in the US about getting troops out of Iraq, Well, Canada has to pull out too...They have no idea about politics or world relations, but by god they have an opinion about it. Too bad they have no Idea why troops are in these places to begin with...
