Strange Noise

Ok I have a 2000 GMC Z71, and for years I hear a swacking noise when I initially accelerate from a stop, now it seams like it is getting worse. A few friends who have the same truck as mine make the same noise but we could never figure out what it is. Does anyone know what the heck it is; I think maybe the rearend or drive shaft. PLEASE HELP…. Thx, I love this truck… 145K-NO PMTS-AND STILL RUNNING STRONG

I'd say (with out hearing it) it's your parking brake rubbing. Have you performed the Parking Brake TSB??

I'd bet a lot of money I don't have the drive shaft slip yoke needs lubed. If its a 4x4 change out the T-Case fluid to the new blue kind.
