Got Factory Xm Antenna To Work With Aftermarket Deck.

Yep there were some of you guys a while back that was asking why I woudl want to use the factory xm antenna with an aftermarket deck and xm unit. I had a in dash nav deck and factory xm. I got the factory xm antenna to work with the aftermarket deck so I dont have three antennas on my truck.

 

I was able to take the aftermarket xm tuner and shave down the two attachemtn points and leave the clip for the snap. Once that was shaved down it went right on and works like a charm. No chance of it coming off either played with it for a while before reinstalling it.

I don't suppose you have any photos, I'd like to do the same thing when I install my DVD/NAV.
