Automatic Headlights

On my old 99 Silverado the Automatic headlights (and DRL's) would not come on if the parking brake was applied. It does not appear to be the case on my 07. At night the Automatic Headlights will come on with the parking brake on. Does anyone know of anyway to disable the Automatic Headlights OTHER THEN having to turn the stupid headlight switch to the left to cancel? This is important to me because I am now using a Remote Start System and do not want the headlights comming on at night or early morning when I start the vehicle with the RS.

I'd like to know as well, as well as how do you keep the lights from flashing when you unlock the door. You can program the headlights to not come on with the unlock of the fob - but the drt's or whatever they are blink too. I'd like to get rid of that as well.

on your DIC there is a setting to change entry lighting and other stuff like lights flashing when you lock the doors.....

That controls the headlights, but not the drt's or turn signals or whatever is still coming on. So far no setting totally turns off visible signs the vehicle is being unlocked/locked.

The headlight on/off setting with the remote is adjustable in the DIC menu.

Yes it's factory. I even checked it out last night. Also I noticed it depends on the time of day if my headlights come on when I unlock the door. If it is dark they come on, otherwise it's all flashing parking lights. Now I never messed with the DIC to adjust it but I know there are alot of settings. Later today when I'm washing the truck I'll check to see if there is any settings for the headlights.

No, my headlights do not come on when I remote start my truck. However when I press the unlock button in the dark while the truck is running then the headlights come on, otherwise they are off.
