Hey guys i need some advice on what kind of dual exhaust to put on my truck since Christmas is coming around the corner. I don't really know too much about diff types of exhaust so and input is appreciated. I don't want anything to ridiculously loud. Just something that will make her purr when idling and roar when opening up. Not sure if this is helpful or not but thanks anyway. :(

If you're looking for true dual exhaust, as far as I know, you are looking at getting a custom job done at your local muffler shop. As far as the sound you are looking for, it sounds like you're looking for a Corsa cat-back system. This is the system I plan on getting as soon as I strike oil. :(

If you do not want to drop a lot of money into it, you should look at either buying a cat-back system from Magnaflow or buying a magnaflow muffler and then bringing it to a custom shop to have them make dual pipes to the back. I am planning on buying a muffler and having pipes bend to fit to the back bumper. Magnaflow offers deep sound with out excess resonating in the cab. Their site has a link to listen to a NBS Silverado with their kit installed. It sounds nice and is definitely the muffler I am getting, it is stainless steel so it wont rust out easy like Flowmaster (roughly 2-3 years depending on driving). The longer the muffler the quieter the sound in both at the tips and in the cab. Hope this is helpful

I have been looking for the same thing for awhile and haven't found what I want yet. Easiest is a cat-back system. They have some nice sound and are fairly in-expensive compared to a custom one. If you do go custom true duals, you may need to buy an emulator/ simulator for the oxygen sensors. They may work or your check engine light might come on.

Actually, I'm not sure, never met any one that it has happened to. From what i can figure it should make it quite or louder because the computer wont see the oxygen levels in the exhaust and it could make it run in base settings, make it run rich, or really lean. So in the end it could hurt the engine, but it seems like normally it would run in base timing.
