Auto Headlights

Does any one know if there is a way to disable the headlights from turning on when unlocking the truck? I am planning on converting mine to HID and I dont want them the turn on then have to turn right back off when the truck starts, (since the headlights turn off auto to give more power to the starter). Thanks

Yes you can disable them from coming on when you un-lock your doors but I think that can only be done with the DIC (Driver Information Center) controls.

and if you have the DIC you can re-time it to only stay lit for like 10 seconds or so instead of the average 30

I have the WT with the LS upgrade so I do not have the full DIC panel. Is there anyway to do this a different way?

You can add the full DIC panel for about $100. Check this thread. It should work on your WT as well. Many of the peopple who have added the DIC have had WT's. Hope this helps.
