Pin Size Hole

I have a sligthly bigger than a pin-size hole in the rear, bottom (above the lip) of my muffler -

what is easiest way to fix?

 

Muffler is fine, and only reason I happened to notice it, that it was a little wet when I did under-truck inspection ......

I beleive that is there to allow water and condensation to weep out.

that hole is there to allow condensation to drain out of your muffler when water collects in the exhaust. if this water does not drain out then you could eventually have a rusted out exhaust system.

I agree with Bert and Chris. Dont seal the hole up or yer gonna have problems later.

You guys ROCK! I was almost ready to "patch" it up ...... makes sense to me, but just wondered why I had never noticed condensation coming out before .....

My car is constantly leaking water drops from the exhaust, since it has been around 2F degrees around here I had a 4 foot stream of frozen water from my car exhaust.

Do aftermarket mufflers (Magnaflow) allow for this condensation release?
