Ive seen the camero concept in the movie transformers and think its bad ass! sounds great and looks great.the challenger is also cool but i recently had a debate with some people who think that the camero doesnt look anything like a muscle car or the older cameros at all. i argued that the rear of the new challenger looks cheesy with one big tail light that takes up the entire back end.there are also rumors that the Challenger will have more hp than the Camero but if its as heavy as dodge trucks and cars then it will be interesting.more horsepower but less aerodynamic and heavier..im pretty sure that the Camero will be lighter and it appears to be more aerodynamic..the camero has lived on till 02 and the challenger hasn't been touched for decades now.which would you rather have?

I'd drive the p*ss out of either. They both look like they're going to be sweet rides.

IF I were going to buy one (I'm not), I hate to say it, but I'd lean towards the Challenger. There are going to be a million and one V6 Camaros running around, and a limited number of Challengers. I'll take the rarer one any day.

Unless I'm wrong about what options are going to be available on both.

BTW, the Camaros in Transformers were built on GTO chassis'. ;)

Yeah, it was an ls2 GTO with body kits on it.

I really love the challenger's design, but I'm afraid to buy anything dodge...Will the reliability be there? I don't know.

Whats wrong with the GTO Chassis

it would probably allow GM to focus funds on more important things like the engine.

Nothing was wrong with it, but I think the Holden monaro was discontinued in Australia in '05-06 which lead to the last GTO's exported to the States last year. But, GM is already using other chassis from Holden for the Pontiac G8 which I believe will actually be produced stateside.

for me its more a matter of looks ... a challenger .. painted gloss black with a matte black stripe down the sides .. that has a glossy red outline ... a set of updated 'baby moon' style wheels ... (in a 19 and 22 size) ... and some straight pipes ... and i would be in heaven ...

as for the camaro ... it does lean twards the 69 in looks a little .. (i had a 69) ... but till it is released i cant decide ... chevy doesn't have much of a history for keeping something identical to how a prototype looks when it is released... could end up like the current mustang
