04 Sierra Z71 (will It Fit?)

I have an 2004 Gmc Sierra z71 with a 3 in body lift. My question is, and yes i know you guys get this question all the time, is can I fit 35's or maybe even 36's with my body lift?

Also, would super swamper radials be a good choice for a mostly on road truck that wanted to have that off road truck look?

No, realistically they won't fit. You'll either have to break out the sawzall, or crank the hell out of your torsion bars (which brings up a whole other group of problems). And super swampers are not a good choice for a truck that spends a lot of time on road. For an agressive tire that does pretty well on the road check out the Mickey Thompson MTZ (I have them and love them), the Cooper Discoverer STT, or the Toyo Open Country MT.

I have seen lots of our bodystyle trucks with a 3inch body lift and 35s. I always just assumed that they fit with the body lift. Maybe I'm wrong.

Yea and they have cut plenty of metal on their trucks. I maxed my torsion bars and am only running 285's, was running 305's and still scrubbed, but that is cause of my offset and wheel width.

35's will fit, but you're better going with 34's possibly 33's. Plus stay away from body lifts, they themselves create many problems.

thanks guys. Well, ive decided on what i want for my truck. I want 35 in nitto mud grapplers on (20 in eagle alloy 064's (ordered already). 20x10 on the rims so my stance will be somewhat widened. What would I have to do to fit this with just a 3 in body lift, and maybe the torsion cranked up a bit in the front? I have some chrome fender trim now (ugly) but im gonna replace it with some color match blue bushwackers.

I plan on added a bigger lift later on down the road, but i would really like to run this setup now.

I will post a picture either later tonight or tomorrow of the cutting I had to do to get mine to fit.
