I have a yukon xl denali 03 it has 97,000 on it. I have changed tires, steering shaft, steering gear, and im thinking my front shocks are going out. Over all i think its a pretty good rig. i use mobil 1 every 4000-5000 miles. How are your trucks doing? :)

I don't know about you, but I'd be ticked if my truck did not make it to at least 150,000 before I had to replace the tranny....

2000 Silverado, bought in 2003 with 38,000 on it. Now has 117,000, has third set of tires and its second engine. Just put the engine in it at 116K, and the engine had around 50K on it when I got it. Everything else has been great! Put new rear pads on it due to a caliper getting stuck but the front brakes are original. I tow everything from a 17' aluminum bass boat to a 27' travel trailer that weighs around 5500lbs and a 18 foot flat bed/car trailer.

2004 GMC Sierra, bought brand new (dealer trade from Indiana to Ohio) with 500 miles on the odometer. I just paid it off a month ago and it has 27,200 miles on it as of today. At around 15k miles I had the slip yoke replaced, at 20k I had the steering shaft replaced, and at 25k I had the water pump replaced along with the front left axle seal. I also replaced the tires at about 20k miles because I couldn't stand the terrible traction that the stock tires gave me. I have about 40k miles left on the original front brake pads and about 10k left on the rear.

Yeah, that was definitely a disappointment, especially since I took really good care of it and don't drive hard or tow. The sunshell failed, and apparently is a design weakness on the earlier 4L60's. Ah well, its still better than owning a Ford. :)

'05 2500HD, bought it in April '07 with 24,900 on it, currently 36,750. Previous owner changed tires once, no other repairs had been done, last summer the power steering went out on me though, warranty covered it. So all i'm maintaining is oil changing and filling the fuel tank. Very happy with it :)

99 GMC Sierra. Bought it used from a dealership. Only one previous owner. 48,000 when I bought it, about 52,000 now. (Just bought it beginning of November) I had to have the Windshield resealed the week after I bought it...It rattled on the freeway. I don't think my tranny is slipping, but there is def something wrong in the rear end. At first I thought the brakes were grabbing and not releasing when I started and stopped, but I'll hit random inclines at an angle and it will make noises. Every single time I accelerate, the rear end feels like its "catching up" and makes an "eek" kind of noise. Any clue what this could be?

Drive shaft slip yolk. Common problem. If its still under warranty, take it back to the dealer, otherwise you can remove the driveshaft and grease the slip yolk where is slides into the trans.

you flush your trans at ever oil change? isn't that supposed to be like every 50,000 miles?
