Lost Reverse

Please help. i lost my reverse in my 02 silverado.drive still works but shifts late for 1st to 2nd.also has a whinning sound when in park through nutural.

This was a sudden occurnace worked fine yesterday mouring then went out after work with no warning.

check the trans fluid about 1/2 qt. low top it off with dex 3. no metal shavings or burnt smell to the fluid.

what engine,tranny do you have ?probably a broken reaction sun shell,if you have a 4L60E,as per bulletin 00-07- 30-022c ,read it,has model year specific part #s,GM can print 1 off for you,for a no reverse,2nd or 4th gear failure.
