07 Nbs Cc Rear Door Panel Removal

I have an occasional rattle in the Left rear door of my 2007 NBS SLT Crew Cab. I hate to take it in to the dealer for a whole day when I can maybe fix it myself. Usually the squeaks or rattles never seem to show up when the dealer has it. :D I have seen a few posts for removing the rear door panel. Other than the clips on the bottom of the door, are there any other screws to remove?

I will post this info in about 40 mins (i am logging off my work computer and going home)

I have the same rattle on my Silverado. Let us know what you find out. It's too cold out to be messing with the door for me right now.

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

Some customers may have a concern where the roof panel flutters when closing one of the front side doors. This may be caused by the excessive motion of roof panel. On initial inspection, you may notice that the roof panel expansion adhesive material has separated between the roof and the roof bow. The concern is seen mostly on the first cross bow.

Recommendation/Instructions:

To repair the concern, insert stiff foam blocks between the roof panel and roof bow to "pre-load" roof panel as show in the photo below.

Note: The protective foam block used on the doors of fullsize trucks during shipping from the assembly plant can be used.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.

Thank you for the diagram and quick reply. My SLT rear door panel has a one piece handle with the door opening latch above. I can now see where the screws are behind the handle and the door opening latch. Does the fake wood piece on top of the handle holding the power window switch pop off? Does this have to be taken off to remve the panel?

it should remain on the panel itself, I dont see any screws or connectors behind it............

Now that I have the door panel off, what part needs to be replaced? Is the locking mechanism incorporated into the latch? Does anybody know the part number for the door lock? Is there a separete motor for the power locks?
