Ok my speedo is bad. Got letter in the mail as many of you have got.

Will replace under 7 years or 70,000 miles.

I've got 102,000 miles. went to the dealer, and I knew they would turn me down, but what do I have to loose.

The Service guy told me to call customer service, (800 222 1020)

Make the call, on the phone 15 minutes with them while they ask numerous questions etc. Put me on hold for about 3 minutes. Rep comes back and says they talked to the service manager at my Dealership, and to make an appointment to take my truck in.

Long story Longer. go back to the dealer and talk to the Service manager. He tells me, Yes Customer Service had called them.

They get the info off my speedo with a tech2. They said they would call me when the Speedo comes in to have it replaced. :tumbleweed:

Just a little note....When the dealer calls you to tell you your cluster is in,Please go in as soon as you can.

Reason being is us dealers only have 30 days to send back your old cluster (or the new one unused) or GM charges us and we cannot be credited back for it.

Please post if the repair works or not 100% I have a 2004 Z71 and I'm on my 4th or 5th Instrument panel cluster for my Speedo with no improvments. either the speedo works or it stays at zero or it will bounce around from my current speed to a lower speed. I keep getting the same answer from two chevy dealerships now. the replacement clusters are no better then the ones they are taking out in most cases which is why chevy is now covering the repair for 7years or 70,000. So they just keep throwing new clusters at it. This issue is driving me crazy.
