i wasn't sure if the ses light needed to be on in order for the scan tool to pick it up??

Any one have any input???

It didn't when mine went bad. I was using a laptop software method. I noticed a 2mpg drop in mileage over the course of a year or 10,000+ miles. This was at about 70K. I noticed because I trace every tankful in a spreadsheet and saw the drop. Mileage came right back after replacing the front 2 sensors but never any codes.

So yours went between 60-70,000 miles?? I have 48,000 and just seems to earley for mine to be going bad. I would say though, i have been noticing somthing wrong for about a year and a half and 10,000 miles or so. I just put my stoc program back in from my hypertech, so i will really see how bad the milage is this tank full. I may have to breakdown and spent the $130.00 it's going to cost to replace them. Thanks
