2005 GMC Sierra 2500 HD...

Around 75 mph i get what sounds like an exhaust type rattle/vibration noise (if that makes any sense). As soon as i let off the accelerator, the sound goes away. Sounds like its coming from the area where the cab/box meet.

Any ideas??

Truck is still under warranty, figured i'd post on here before I called the dealer on Monday.

Just a quick note to everyone. Techs hate it when you come in with "I know whats wrong with my vehicle" in hand. I would let them do their thing first and if and only if they do not fix the problem should you provide this stuff. These bullitens are guidelines not Bible. Just because they are issues doesn't mean they are your issue. I know everyone expects we don't know what we are doing or want to screw you but that just isn't the case(with good techs of which most are, most shops have 1 hack and the rest of us hate him). It's kind of an insult for you to think you know more than us after 20 years of experience and thousands of hours in training.

One of the things the shop hack does is search bullitens and throw parts at every vehicle based on bullitens and this worked before, instead of taking the time to do some diagnosis (which by the way is usually part of a bulliten). Good luck, I hope we get er fixed for you.

if youve got the stock muffler, there is a cheap ass heat shield with a 2 small metal straps banded to it. cut it off thats probably it. I think theyre also on the catalytic converters
