07 Differential

I have a 2007 Silverado nbs and need some help. Now, i know GM's reputation on transmissions and differentials and think i might be adding my truck to the list soon. Whenever i lose traction in the rear-end for whatever reason, when the locker kicks in it hits rather hard and feels like it is going to grenade. Is this normal or did i get a bad rear-end? As for the tranny, I am in the process of finding some parts to rebuild and give it a little more strength. How does a performance rebuild kit and shift kit sound for the tranny?

i just wanna know if this is normal operation to knock so hard when it engages.

My G80 will at times engage rather hard, and I don't abuse it. Is this "normal", I'm not sure. But, I don't care if I hear or feel my tranny shift or the differential engage, as long as it works well .
